11 Jan. 2010: Piribebuy Week #1

Dear FAmily and Friends

I am Doing super in my new area and with my new comp- I was transfered to Piribebuy- it is sweet there are hills and streams and stuff that make it way pretty.- but my comp is elder Garcia from El Salvador. He has really pretty spanish and speaks little english. we can comunicate alright. He is really cool and clean.- he is a reallygood teacher too.- we had 3 baptisms on saturday so that was cool I got to baptise an 8 yr girl and  the other two were 9 and 14. Their family has been getting baptised for the last couple weeks because it is like a grandma and her grand kids. The grandma is named Rufina and the girl I baptised is Margarita Ruiz. but the work is really good here we sould have at least one more baptism this week but I dont know anybody yet. transfers were a day late because the new elders were late. Piribebuy has a Branch with abot 70 members that com to church. I had to speak again in sacrament and spoke on examples. I really like this area though because we live in the city part but it is a small city and our area is big so we get to go to the feilds were the houses have straw roofs. it is sweet. THis is my house it is way nicer than my other one. There is a swiming pool right behind it. I live in the up stairs.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
