19 Sept. 2011: Luque Week #6

Dear Family and Friends, 

I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. Elder Patterson is from Canada and is Elder Humphreys` best friend from back at home, its cool because we are great friends. 

I am not sure we sill have a baptism before I go, because the girl that was close, needs more time to be truely prepared and it would be selfish for me to just baptise her just because I am going home.

I had a really neat experiance today, for Pday we went and hiked this hill that is in aregua, and did our personal studies on top. For my study I read Alma 29 and then started writing my final report of the mission answering the questions Like; what are the great lessons you learned? what do you know about making and keeping covenants? how would others describe you? how would you describe yourself? ext. As I sat studied and pondered my mission and what it has meant to me and the love I have for this county and these people I started to cry. I am scared to leave yet so excited to see you. I have one more week to give my all and to Preach the Gospel to everybody. I know the church is true I know, that the book of mormon is the word of God, I have grown so much I love serving the Lord and have found such great joy by serving the Lord and the people of Paraguay.

Just so you know Diego is my convert from Mariano Roque Alonso, he is great, I talked to him and I think he must have found you through Evans face book, I Cant believe you have face book now! that is pretty funny. 

Hey mom, I need more info about the Byu I application because pres. told me i dont need an interview, but just some number of byu identification or something. If you could be mose specific on what I need exactly. on monday I have my final interveiw.

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
