30 Nov. 2009: Juan de Salazar Week #1

Dear FAmily and Friends,
I am doing well I guess I am still in a shock. Paraguay is pretty. My Comp Elder Job From Logan is a good hard worker. We walk a hundred miles a day. I havent had any food that was completly gross but it is crazy here. Clean is not clean at all. The people are nice at least most of them. I dont under stand any of what they say and it is frustrating I hope it will get better. I live an an area called Limpio. it is pretty close to asuncion. There is garbage every where because there is nothing else to do with it.  I mostly eat fruit and yogurt,. It is super hot and I sweet non-stop I have taken a few pics adn will have to send them to you. we teach alot of lessons and have a baptism tommarrow. But this area is kind of a slower area. I am just trying to get used to It,. I have said some dumb stuff that I get made fun of a little bit.  It isnt to bad here. The driving is crazy. I am only going to write this one letter this week and hopefully I wont be so busy. I tried my visa card and it didnt work. so mom you will have to check it out. I dont know.  I am excited to here from evans homecoming. it will be exciteing,. Well I will know more next week I hope I answered you questions. I love you all. Love Elder CAll

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
