5 April 2010: Aregua cerca Luque Week #1

Dear Family,

How are you doing? I  had another good week or at least a little crazy again. I thought I was going to stay in Piribebuy with Elder fernandez but I guess the Lord thought different. So Tuesday I got word That I was going to be transfered to Aregua cerca Luque and be with Elder Eliason.
I left early wendsday and got to my new area by noon. Elder Eliason is from South Jordan Like 5mins from the new temple there. He is cool I get along better withhim then my last comp. but we have lots of work to do. when I got here we had two investigators. He is a hard worker but has been with crappy missionaries almost his whole mission. he is in his 7 change so will have a year in like May and just moved up to senior comp.
We have a sweet house it is big and nice and we live with the zone leaders Elder spencer from Indiana and Calderon from Equador. So it is fun. the only thing is that when me and Elder Spencer got to the house it was a disaster but elder spencer and I have spent a lot of time cleaning so it is sweet now.

I dont know a lot about the area yet but it seems cool there are a lot of people that live here and it seems good it will just be a bit before we get baptisms because we will be starting from almost nothing.

General conferance was awsome I learned so much. Saturday we had a husband and wife come as investigators and that was sweet they liked it alot.
as for me I watched all but the preisthood session. 3 in english and 1 in spanish the 1 in spanish I didnt learn much.lol it was great to hear chuch in englisg because we never get to and it is still hard to understand exactly what they say.

My area is a ward but I dont know much else we live right by the capilla and it is huge one of the bigger I have seen.

Well I will tell you haw it is in another week! Love you and hope all is well with you . I know that this is the work of the Lord and that he will bless us as we work hard with diligence and obediance.

Dear Mom and Dad

Thanks for the letters. I bet you are a bit suprised in my transfer I was a little bit too. I feel like President is just throwing me around preparing people to move up in leadership. Like Garcia went up to zone leader and Fernandez is training. But it is fun I kind of like to move and change comps. It is sad to say good bye though. here is a photo of the members and investigator of itaguyra one of my favorite places and people.

By the way whats up with visiting Laken how did you arrange that crap I cant even imagine. When is joyce and Garry coming to visit me!!! I cant believe he can do that! But that is pretty cool though.

Mom I have something for you to check into. So there are a few missionaries that have a sweet book from english to guarani. It is from BYU I dont know much about it but it is better than any thing I can buy here to study guarani. And I think itwould help me a ton to learn it. I dont know much about it But if you could look into it that would be sweet. +

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
