4 Jan. 2010: Juan de Salazar Week #6

Dear Family and Friends
How are you all doing? I had another good week in Paraguay. I am learning alot and  enjoying everything. This week we found a really solid invesigator who came to church and everything. Her name is Dianna. We met her and her mom on friday and it was easy to get her to church. So that was really cool. We also met this lady named Aurora she is an older lady andis really interested we didnt get her to church because she had to go to take care of some grandkids. but we asked her the second visit if she prayed to know if it was true and she said "I know its true because when you came to my house I could see that you were servents of God and I have never seen that before."  So that was neat but we then explained the importance of her praying too.
    we ended up with two at church so that was good but we had like 6 that should have come. It is super hard to get people to church.
    But all is well I cant think of much else that is happening but transfers are Wensday and there is a good chance I will leave Juan de salazar because 18 new miss. are coming and Elder Job has  a good chance of training again. I dont know yet though but I will be sad to leave if I have to because I really like the people here in Juan de Salazar and dont want to leave these investigators.  I knw that the Lord will put me where He needs me though and it will be fine. I love you all.

Yes, I wear a hat every day.  Elder Job and I have the same kind, they save us from the heat and sun. My talk in sacrament was on faith but I had to tie it to mission work, I found out I was speaking like and hour before so I pretty much just read out of Preach my Gospel but it was alright. I have seen some huge improvement with my Spanish. I don’t know what a lot of rain is? But it has rained a lot. I like the rain though because if it’s raining its not hot...usually. Dear Mom

To answer your question I am not supposed to write anyone outside of family through email and supposably can lose internet privilages if I do so I dont. I dont have time either. If I did I would write  Evan Hannah Dallin and ben their own letters because I wish I could. If you can get my friends addresses and forward the letter then that would be great. but I cant. I love you love Elder Call.

THis week was a good week I felt like we acomplished something this week. We worked hard and didn´t let the Normas hold us back. I know that the Lord blesses us for our obediance and hard work because this week was the test. We found some really good investigators who are already showing desire to be baptised. So that helped me to know that the Lord was blessing us for our hard work and obediance. Thanks for your help and advise. I know that you recieve inspiration on what we need to do to make the Lords work His Work.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
