1 Nov. 2010: Mariano Roca Lonzo Week #2

Dear Family and Friends,
 
Another great week in the mission passed. I really enjoyed this past week I felt that the Lord has really helped me and blessed me lots. I really love my new area, for several reasons, we are working with some great investigators and this week we will have another Golden baptism of a 14year old girl, adesely who was found just three weeks back. Her brother was a referance but he wasnt to interested at first but Diego came on sunday with his little sister for the first time.  they come by them selves which is so nice. We had a visit with the mom Dad and another sister and they all are way cool and support her 100%, They are all planning on going to her baptism.
 
We have a sweet Rama too there are more than a 100 active members and it is well organized with good leaders it was the first sunday I actually relaxed in sacrament meeting because I knew the leaders knew what they were doing. we have lots of youth to which makes church alot more lively.
 
I got to go into the tribe of indians to they are Maka indians and are more indian than the other indians in santa Clara I need a picture still but they actually use the feather head crowns and other trible things and do dances and everything like that! It is so wierd but sweet at the same time.
 
I did my first baptism interview too because the hermanas in my district baptised on friday so that was another first but it went well. There are 6 misionaries in our rama the ZL, Hermanas and Us.
 
I know that God hears and answers prayers he loves each and every one of us. this is His work upon the face of the earth.

By the way I did buy a map I just Havent sent it home yet but I will get on it.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
