12 July 2010: Pedro Juan Caballero Week #3

Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for the letters this week. For me this week was pretty good but it wasnt the best. We did see alot happen though. First of going to Asuncion to meet the new President was fun and relaxing. It was kind of a wierd change to have a new president.  They are all different I guess. President Marariaga is a really nice guy I had my interveiw with him and everything and it was all really good I really am excited for what we will see. It will be fun. I think it is good as a missionary to have two presidents because you can learn different things from eachone. The meetings we had in asuncion were short and spent way more time traveling than we did learning but it felt good to sit and relax on the colectivo.
 
This week to come will be crazy the assistants and the President are comeing to work with me and my comp because we have to travel to an indian village to do baptisms because supposably there are like ten people that are ready to be baptised the only thing is that we have to travel two hours to get to the village it is in a place were they meet for church under some kind of shelter, not a chaple. I dont know what will happen we have to pay this guy to take us out in a car but neither me nor my comp have been there, it will be nuts. So the whole week we will be there like three days.
 
We had a bad turn out in church though this week so we have to do better this week to come but we are working with some awsome investigators, the family I told you about last week is selling there car so they can get a divorce and get married but it will still take like three months so it kind of stinks but what can we do.
 
There is also Gustavo he should get baptised on the 24, he is a eleven year old son of a in active member but the week I got here we started visiting her and she came back she is cool too;.
 
But I have to go so I will let you know how every thing goes next week. I love You and pray for you.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
