13 Dec. 2010: Mariano Roca Lonzo Week #8

Dear Family and Friends
 
Thanks For the letters this week it was fun to hear from all or you, This week flew by again and there is alot new to tell you. First I will get changes out of the way I didnt leave Mariano thankgoodness, but Elder Orton left and I got a new comp Elder Humphreys from Canada, he is in is second change and was Born in one of the nicest areas in asuncion with Elder Lee my old comp. I was sad to see Elder Orton go because we had alot of fun together but I am excited to work with Elder Humphreys. Other changes.... Remember when Elder Foster came here?  anyway he was not impressed with alot of the mission and help change it so there is more obiediance so now there is four asistances two that contantly travel, teaching and working with missionaries. Both of my zone leaders have been called as asistant so ho my Zone leader is from a differant area. Everyone in the zone is differant so we will see what happens.
 
As for the other info our baptisms didnt go down I felt like satan was really trying our patience, but we got most every thing worked out. Brigida was having problems with her son and he was being a jerk not letting us talk to her but we finally worked it out and she is going to be baptised next week like on the 22. also Vivi has to wait until this saturday but I think it will go  through on saturday.
 
Araceli´s family is progressing last night we were talking to all of them about Marriage and the mom and dad are planning on it now the dont have a set date but they will get married... they have been to gether for 20 years now.... I thought they were married but we get to look forward to a good wedding!
 
I am so excited for the phone call for chirstmas It will be ablast... I honestly Cant believe it is almost Chirstmas. It is so hot here...I love it! I know that the Church is true. I love you all  Love Elder Call

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
