14 June 2010: Aregua cerca Luque Week #11

Dear Family and Friends

Thanks for your wonderful letters of support. I love recieving them! This week I am full of gratitud because I know that God is a God of miracles. Let me tell you why.
We had one of the most amazing weeks of my mission we started it by getting the members of our ward excited for The ward conferance that took place yesterday. It was an opportunity to get Less actives back and new people in. Any way as a district we decided to do a special fast to meet our goal of 6 investigators in church and 7 with bap. dates.  We worked hard looking for the people all week. On Friday night we went to check to make sure a less active Hermana Martinez was still planning on coming to church. When we got there she said come in I have something to tell you. we were thinking she is going to have some dumb excuse why she cant come. But we were wrong she told us that she had gone inviting people to church and that her neighbor wanted to come. The Crazy thing is that Family is a family of 12 people!!!!!! Eleven of them came to church and they all excepted a bap Date afterwards we also brought 3 others  and 3 diferent members brought one too. So we had 15 investigators in church and have 13 people with fecha. That is a miracle. My comp and I were a little bit shocked at the blessing recieved from hard work, obiediance and a Special fast.  

As for the robbery last week we havent heard any thing, I honestly dont think we ever will but that is ok. We actually walked down the road where they ran and didnt see anything we were hoping to find our scriptures sitting on the side of the road but nope it didnt happen.

Transfers are coming up the 23rd so right around the corner but today we found out that Elder Spencer is leaving today he is my Zone leader and had a special change because somegot sick is in the hospital and has to go learn an area right before changes. I was disapointed because of that. he is my friend but that is ok I should still be able to see him. he was mad too because he has rocked his area and his birthday is tomarrow they even had a baptism planned for his birthday.

My Comp and I are super excited though for the future of our area we have the big baptism planned for the 2 of July. The Two we were going to baptise this week didnt make it to church so we will be waiting some more on them but ya. This Work is awesome the blessing are real. I wouldnt want to be any where else. I love you!!

Dear Mom

Thank for you letter! I will try to anwser the questions. I havent got a new triple yet I have to order one so not yet. I havent got a rain jacket either but just because I havent found one I like as much as my old one. I did order a new camera from hermana wade becase she has conections But I should get it later today and same with my bag.  mom I love you . Elder Call

Hey there is somthing to throw on a list for me and that is deoderant I ran out of good stuff and hate the stuff I have now. But I would love that Old Spice After hours stuff thatI always got. You dont have to send it right a way though I will Be Fine. Love you


Dear Dad

My Interview with president wade was really short but absolutly packed wth the spirit I didnt really learn any thing new but I felt everything I learned.
We cant do much different especially where it was in the middle of the day but we are just trying to take a colectivo whenever we go by there-
Osvaldo and Adela havent been doing that well mainly because he got a job in the Chaco and has only been home once since the baptism so that kind of sucks but I has been reading and stuff so that is good, I think they will get it figured out.
I am sorry to hear about hermana Aagard hope everything will turn out well I feel like they have had their share of trials.
James keeps telling me in the letters that you guys should use the trailer.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
