17 May 2010: Aregua cerca Luque Week #7

Dear Family and friends,

I had a crazy week with lots of things to tell you about. As for the week it was awesome. We got the three baptisms of Neri, and the mom and sister of William. So that was a blessing. It goes a little deeper than that though because up to tuesday they were in the hospital with the baby and then on Friday the second youngest girl was hit by a motorcycle as she stepped out of the colectivo.  She got beat up pretty good and broke her leg. I still cant figure out why this family has been having so many trials. I think it was just Satin doing everything in his power to stop two sweet souls from entering into Gods presence. So we did the baptism Saturday and paid a taxi to take them to their service it turned out really good and they all had big smiles. I will send pics next week because I forgot my camera today.

As For the transfer, both Elder Eliason and I stayed I wasnt to disappionted I get along well with him but I think he wanted to leave pretty bad? he will have over 7 months here. Both the zone leaders stayed too so really i dont feel like anything happened.

We had another exciding and kind of scary event happen on wendsday night too. Thursday morning we left the house to go work and we met the members standing infront of the church-. they said that the thursday night activity  was canceled and we were like Why . They pointed at thechuch and said Look we did and the bars on the door had been bent up and the window broken. Someone had broken in and stolen the computer and some of the other stuff that was in the office. It was kind of crazy. It gave us a scare because our house is so easy to break into and really we have more valuables than the church so ya we are looking at ways to secure our house.

The weather has been really quite enjoyable I have been loving it. Its not to hot or cold just perfect.Yesterday it rained all day and same with today. Everything is soaked. When it rains it really rains.

Today we got to go to lunch with Elder Eliasons trainer Elder Adams and his parents. It was super fun they have just rented a car and have been traveling all over it seemed like they were having a blast.  But ya other than that I dont know what to say but I love you and take care,

Oh ya elder wilkenson that was hit by the car Is still just working in the office but ya I havent seen him or any thing.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
