18 Oct. 2010: Pedro Juan Caballero Week #17

Dear Family and Friends
 
Hows it going? Here everything is going great and normal;. We really had a good week. friday we had to travel to Asuncion for a training and a visit to the temple. It was awesome! We are learning to use Preachmy Gospel to its fullest. It is kind of hard to change little bad habbits of teaching and studing, But To Learn is To Change.; We are defidently going to see the blessings.
It was so nice to go to the temple adn feel of the spirit there, the Asuncion temple is really small and simple but it is really pretty and I love being there. We have been teaching Cristobal alot about the temple and getting him and his family excited we had a Family home evening with him and his family and taught the things that we need to do to be prepared to go to the temple, ten we play dont eat pete. that game I think Bishop Porter taught us. Check out the photo we had a blast.
 
Most of cristobals family is progressing but just not as fast as you would like to see. I hope to stay long enough to see them make the change and be baptised. As for others I think we should baptise the next week hopefully a little girl named Melena and an older lady named Maria.  we will see what happens though.
 
Changes are this friday but we wont find out til wendsday so I cant tell you what will happen but I really dont think I am leaving and will be sad if I do but I am thinking I will just stay with Elder Conder. That is what I want at least. We work well together we might not be the most convincing with our spanish skills but we work hard and be obedient. 
 
I love being a missionary. I know that this work is true. that Jesus Christ lives and Loves Everyone of us. Thanks for your wonderful examples to me.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
