20 June 2011: Salado Week #12

Dear Family and Friends,
 
This week was great! It passed by super fast it seems like I just barely wrote. Not A whole lot new happened we are working hard I we are planning on the baptism of Evers sister Adriana on saturday It isnt 100% becauseshe likes coffee has given it up but satan works pretty hard the week of baptism.
With Fathers Day and everything the new family didnt end up coming to church and Adriana was the only invetçstigator we had in church I was kind of bumed because we were hoping that the others would go. I was sitting in the sacrament room kind of frusterated when my comp turned to me and said How cool is it to have two recient converts blessing the sacrament. It made me really think. It is Awesome! Both Ever and Sergio were up at the sacrament table. What a blessing it is to see people change their lives and then see them change the lives of other people. They are a wonderful example to me. Ever mentioned one day this week öf the need he felt of going to the temple again. On Thursday they plan on returning. Sergio also taught the class in Preist quorm, we wernt in there to listen to it but they say he did great.
When I first got here I thought I want one more area before I go home I dont want that any more I am loveing the members and investigators here, I feel a trust, for the first time in my mission I have had members want to feed us we have luch with different members every day and they even have been inviting us for dinner. Our ward has lots of challenges but I still feel like we are progressing well(little by little) I am pretty sure within the next two week we will have a new bishop and tht will be a great step. I know the lord hears and anwsers prayers he loves us and watches out for us. I love you guys. Love Elder Call

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
