20 Sept. 2010: Pedro Juan Caballero Week #13

Dear Family and Friends
 
Thanks For the letters and the pics, Dallin all I can say is wow , that is a good start man! Are you just making jerky?  It sounds like Every one is doing well.
 
I am doing great with my new comp. Elder Conder from West Valley , utah. He is the oldest of three younger brothers, He is a great comp and an obediant, hard worker. He just started his fourth change I am really blessed to have such good comps. It is wierd to have a comp that is younger than me in the mission though I still feel Like i just started my mission. 
 
The work is going well we had 6 investigator in church But we are stil a few weeks out from baptisms though. We are waiting for a bunch of paper work to go through with the people from santa clara so I am not sure how long it will take but hopefully it will come fast becuase there are still at least ten more baptisms waiting for it. I am excited for what is to come because we both have lots of animo
Just last night we had a lesson fall at 8 30 and we are supose to be in the house by 9 we didnt have any where to go but rather that just going to the house early we decideed to contact.  started looking for a good house . the first one we got in and taught a family and got three new investigators.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
