22 Aug. 2011: Luque Week #2

Dear Family and Friends, 

Wow it sounds like things are changing alot at home I cant believe Hannah and Evan are at Collage. Reading hannahs letter made me feel really weird I just cant believe she is at collage. This week has been amazing for several reasons. First off, Elder Roeller is awesome and is helping me out so much he is from Dallas Texas and is one of the most positive people I have ever met. I knew him before and thought he was just prideful but I have realized that its not that he is prideful but that he is confident with himself. I learned there is a big differance between pride and confidence. He is helping me be more confident and just feel good. I have always had the problem of never being fully satisfied with who I am or what I do. I am excited o continue to learn and change with my companion. I know God hears and Answers prayers, He loves us and wants us to be happy. Elder Roeller is an answer to many prayers. 

The area is great also I am so close to where i was when I was with Elder Eliason in Aregua and on Wendsday I am doing a division with Elder Patterson to go visit all the people I know there. It will be awesome to see and teach the converts I have there after over a year with out seeing them. 

We have a goal to have Four baptisms before I go home and Are working hard to find them. We have a baptism this coming week of a girl name Angelica Diaz she is just 9 and her we are re activating her parents. .

We are working lots with the members and we contact alot of people as we walk-. We contacted a lady named lourdes and started teaching her family  two of her kid are members but have problems with drugs. The mom wants to help her family out and knows only through God it will be possible . One of he daughter came to church and has a baptism date. The lord is blessing us so much. 

We ahve a few others that are really great. That we just started teaching and a few others that are progressing but are slow. I talked with several people from salado, they called and wished me a happy B Day.  and today I saw that Juan baptised his brother Junior. I guess they are doing great and Both  Sergio and Juan will recieve the melquisedec priesthood this sunday after stake conferance. We are in the same Stake so I will get to be there. I am so excited for them they are so awesome. 

I love you guys sorry That I have to go-. but I am running out of time.  I am so greatful to be here and know that its where the lord wants me to be. Love you all Elder Call

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
