22 Nov. 2010: Mariano Roca Lonzo Week #5

Happy Thanksgiving Family and Friends,
 
I am doing Great and as mom said ¨Time really flies. Elder Orton and I had another great week of success. It seems as if we are recieving an uncountable amout of blessings from Heavenly father.
 
We have some of the strongest and most converted investigators I have seen,.  We are looking at two baptisms this week Edil and Shirley they have both been investigators for 4-6 weeks and are looking great for baptism. A good organized branch makes a huge differance. The people show up and feel the spririt so strong they say they know thats it the true church. We had Ten investgators again in church.
 
We also had a sweet Zone conferance with Elder Foster and his wife it was way inpiring and we left with animo to work harder and be more obiediant. The paraguay mission is changing lots, it seems.... I dont know if its just me getting older in the mission or what but it feels differant. TO LEARN is To Change. President Maradiaga is always helping us apply what we lear from PMG and use it in the work. the blessing are real the church is true I am so gratefut to be a missionary at this time also to have such wonderful examples of love and support. I love you Love ELder Call

I still have quite a bit o room in my journal so I really dont think I need one I only use it to write experiances and use other ones for study and note so I am good. btw I did send a christmas package this week but I dont know when you will get it. Thanks mom!! I love you

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
