25 Oct. 2010: Mariano Roca Lonzo Week #1
Dear Family and Friends
Thanks for you wonderful letters of love and support, I am doing well and am having lots of learning experiances! I have about decided that if you ever get comfortable in the mission wether it be a comp or an area, normally things will change!
As for new things almost everything is new, new comp, area, investigators, zone members and basically everything else. I was called to come to a area right next to asuncion called Mariano Roca Lonzo, to be with Elder Orton from Salt lake (and until Wendsday with Elder Garcia my old comp because he goes home on wendsday. It is fun to be with him again and remember and talk of the experiances we had together 9months back. As for my new comp he has about 4monthsin paraguay, is areally fun comp and speaks spanish very well for the time he has. I was also Called to be District leader so in my district I have two hermanas one from colombia and the other from the states but I dont know where yet. I still feel like i just barely got to paraguay but I am sure the Lord will help me and bless me.
We had three investigators in church that two of which are looking really good for baptism I dont know the people too well yet but we live right by the Rio Paraguay so it is way cool but also mead heat and humidity there are groups of other indians that live in our area that dont even speak guarani so I have to start learning other words in some other old indian language but I dont know any thing yet. I am sure you will here more about them but here is a picture of me and elder orton on a water tank close to our house.
It was sad to leave Pedro Juan and expesially the people there I will miss them I am greatful for the oportunitty the Lord gave me to serve there and hope I can always do His will.
With lots of love Elder Call
