24 Jan. 2011: Mariano Roca Lonzo Week #14

Dear Family and Friends,
 
     We had a great week again this week and we are recieving lots of blessings. We didnt have changes so wejust stayed the same I was glad because it is hard to adjust to a new companion. Elder Humphreys is a good comp and we are working hard and I feel that we are improving lots.
As for expieriances this week we had several that made me feel really good,
      The Serafini family came to church for the 2 time the girls are all planning on being baptised on the 4 of February, they are looking great for baptism, one of the girls even went to what would be EFY in paraguay a three day youth trip to a resort that turn out great she came back excited about the church,.
     Diego and Araceli are doing great I am so excited for them. They all of a sudden got super excited about missionary work and invited a friend to church she came and they are now working through her to try to get the family! We will see what happens she is cool but I havent met the family yet,.
     Also Edil is doing well, we talked to his older brother who was actually the one who started to receive the missionaries and has read alot of the book of mormon and knows its true, He didnt make it to church this week but he was saying that he knew it was somthing he needed to follow,. We will see how it goes, 
      I am excited for this coming change and the opportunity I have to be a missionary, I know the work is true and that we are guided by the spirit to those who are prepared to recieve the Gospel.  I love you all. Love Elder Call

Hows it going? I was thinking about the house you bought the other day and was wondering if you are planning on renting it out before I get home or if it is going to take alot of time to fix up? I am doing great I am sorry I dont always write you backbut I love you dad. When will the Cows have calves? btw 

Mom I was wondering if you ever sent me a SD card back I have one with lots of pics that I am ready to send home, Just let me know I might need some other stuff but we ll talk more next week. Love You.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
