26 April 2010: Aregua cerca Luque Week #4

Dear Family And Friends,

    Thanks for your letters and support! I am Glad to hear everything seems to be going well and that you are finally out of the snow. We finally cooled down this week so that was nice so I think we are just swapping.
    I had a really good week this week and we had the baptism of William on Friday so that was nice. It was a sweet baptism though The Zone leaders who are in a branch that meets in the same building had one too and there was like 30-40 people there and I think 13 investigators. Elder Eliason and I had two of the 13 but it was sweet.
     This Saturday we are planning the marraige and baptism of Osvaldo and Adela. That has been awesome to see. they have progressed so much. We found out that her marraige wasnt valid her first one, from when she was 17 because she didnt have her papers and the judge was fake or something I still dont understand it all but we have everything planed for this Saturday-. They are way excited to be married and baptised. Today they took us fishing just for fun we went to atç little river and fished for a couple of hours. It was not that fun though because we were fishing basically for minnows. But we had a lot of fun.
     we are still working with Williams mom and Sister too they are so cool but one of the poorest families I have met they have good desires though and are wonderful people. Like this sunday The Hermana couldnt go becuase she had to sell something she had so that they could buy food because they didnt have any. I feel so bad in that situation because there isnt much we can do. Their baptism should be next week-.
     Other than that we still just need tofind some news because after that we dont have much.  I am really liking this area. We have lots of work to do.
      Mom, to anwser your question about Elder bristols address. I got it from carmen She had it so ya. That was a neat thing.
     I am sad to hear the news of Brother Lewis I really wanted him to be around when I got back so I could tell him about Paraguay and ask him some more important questions Like Where to go to collage? What to Do? adn Who to Marry? I will never Forget when he told me that I was coming here that was Sweet. Please Wish the family well and Let them Know I Care and would be there if I could.-

To anwser your preguntas i get along well with him He is just harder to get to work with so that is what we are working on he has only had lazy comps so I am The first that he has had that gets up on tim and Expects to leave on time stuff like that but Ya he is a fun kid.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
