27 Sept. 2010: Pedro Juan Caballero Week #14
Dear Family and Friends
Thanks for your letters! I am glad you got the letters and pictures this week and hope that you enjoy them! This week for me was very interesting, heres the jif of the summery......rain, rain, rain, rain, hail, more rain, rain, rain. It rain so much and not just little rain but it rained until the streets were running with water. Here is an idea...we went to church in our flip flops and our pants rolled up passed our knee the waited at chuch for people to come and out of the normal 35 members that come only two showed up. We went by our investigators and most wouldnt even open their door. So with me my comp and the two members we didnt even have bread for the sacrament.
It was nuts though on saturday it hailed like golf ball sized hail and damaged alot of houses. Luckly our house has a good roof and we were fine.
As for other events we went to santa clara on thursday again for service taking the alemientos to the indians I think the are going to come to pedro juan for conferance. I am way excited for conferance it will be great to hear the counsel the prophet has for us.
We have some great investigators and are still working with Cristobal and his family he hasnt got the preisthod yet because of the rain and our President hasnt comr for like three weeks
Other than that I am love my time here in pedro juan with my new comp Elder Conder. We are doing great together. The mission is great. I know that the Church is true. That Jesus lives and love each of us. I am super excited to here about Davids call.
As for christmas I dont care If you send me a package, I want money so I can send you guys a package, haha but if you insist I could use a couple ties and new socks.
I love you ton Love Elder Call
