28 June 2010: Pedro Juan Caballero Week #1
Dear Family and Friends,
Another crazy week passed by and I am still trying to adjust. You wont believe what happened. I was expecting changes on wendsday but not the change that happened. Tuesday morning I got word that I would be leaving Aregua and to pack my bags I couldnt believe I had to leave. I never thought it would be possible because Elder Eliason had already 7.5 months there. Elder Eliason was called to stay and train and I was called almost out of the country. In fact I even left for a minute. I got called to serve Lejos in Pedro Juan Caballero on the Border of Paraguay and Brasil. From my house I can walk to Brasil in less than twenty minutes.
Pedro Juan is really cool though it is super nice and has alot of cool stuff. The city is big, am in rama 4 and we have three branches in my area. The work is ok out here, we have a lot of work to do but the members of the branch are excited and willing to help us. I couldnt believe I left Aregua. It will be a new challange to see what we can acomplish here. There were only like 35 people in church yesterday and we had just three investigators. I am excited for whats to come.
My new Comp is Elder Lee from Salt Lake City, infact I think he lives really close to Grandma Jensen. He went to Cottonwood Highschool and goes to Cottonwood 13th ward. He is really obediant to so that is good I dont have to worry about him at all.
As for Aregua I was Sad to leave. We were doing so well and I loved the people there they were awesome. It will be an awesome first change though for Elder Eliasons Kid. They should have lots of success. We get our new president on the 1st so I dont think I will see President Wade again til after my mission. It will be an interesting change to have a new president.
Here in Pedro Juan I hear four languages everyday English, Spanish, Portuguis and Guarani. In my area though it is mostly spanish and Guarani.
I am glad you finaly got the package. It was actually pretty fast. Did you get the envelope with SD card too. Any Way thanks for the Letters. I love you very much!
Love ElderCall
So ya Dad I got transfered again!!! I couldnt believe it. I was Sad to leave and am still am having the questions of why me? I just talked to Elder Eliason and him and his kid took 12 of our investigators to church and are baptising 8 this week. If I wasnt 8 hours away from my old area i would think about going, but I am doing Good I feel good because I know I was Sent to aregua for a reason and I know that i left it alot better than it was when i got there. I will just have to see what we can do here in Pedro Juan. To answer your ? of is it getting cold, the answer is mas o menos in aregua it was colder but here not so much. Mom, Dad, Evan , Hannah, Dalin and Ben I love you.
