28 Mar. 2011: Mariano Roca Lonzo Week #23

Dear Family and Friends,
 
Thanks for all the letters this week I love reading them! I cant believe how quickly the time is flying. I am loving the work here in Mariano and just love the people here, I really feel good, I am going on over four months with Elder Humphreys, we are working hard and having alot of fun together. We get along great. Right now we are struggling though to find new investigators we have gotten several referances from the members so hopefully some of them will pull through, These last few week I have felt that satan has been working extra hard in my area, with the members and investigators, so it is kind of frusterating to see but I am sure they will be okay. Maxima for example has just had obstacle after obstacle for the past three weeks, she is still reading and praying and preparing for baptism but is just running into problems coming to church. She is awesome though i know she will pull through she knows its true and knows what she has to do her Family is just taking longer to progress-. 
Fernando is the same way awesome and wants to be baptised this week he didnt make it to church because Edil went to his cousins house in a differant city and Aaron had family problems and wouldnt go so it wasnt the best sunday but we did have the Stake conferance and it was super good.
I am excited for this week because we get to go to the temple on friday and then we have General conferance. I have never been so excited for conferance to list and to show investigators.
Today for Pday we went "fishing" with a few young men from my area it was sweet because two converts went Edil and Diego. It make me so happy to see the progressing, going to church almost everysunday and even talking about serving a mission. It is amazing to see what the Gospel does for a person it changes lives. I know that this work is the work of God and that He sent me here for a reason... I hope you all enjoy the pictures we didnt catch any thing and did more walking and picturetaking than fishing but is was fun.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
