30 Aug. 2010: Pedro Juan Caballero Week #10

Dear Family and Friends.

How are you all doing? Thanks for all the letters this week. I cant believe its time for school again and that Hannah is a Senior and Dallin a 9th grader. Ben is in the middle school now, you will all have to let me know how its going. Evan are you planning On staying Rock Springs Or What?

Well, this week for me was exciting and uplifting. We had tons to do and lots of unexpected surprises. On wendsday we went out to santa Clara, Everything went well but we are trying to get them Celdulas or the Idenification they need to get married so I am not sure when yet but we are now kind of leting the leaders like our President of the Rama 4 and others do most of the work so we can work in our area. Thursday we did a bunch of service cutting trees plants and bushes for a few members and investigators in the rama. The friday we went to fill up the Font for Gustavos baptism and there was no water! We didnt know what to do because the dad of gustavo isnt really supportive so Niria didnt want to ask him to take them to a different rama. We ended up trying to haul water with buckets from the neighbors well (a well like in the olden days.) It turned out to be way hard and after one hour we only had 2 inches of yellow water in the font. we then decided it would be a waste of time to continue and decided to just pray that we could do the baptism in the Rama 2. It turned out well and we had the baptism on Saturday in the rama 2. It was one of the most spiritual abaptisms i have been in.

The cool thing was three of the most awsome investigators came including Christaphor, his son Amillio and Alcides. Christaphor told us he wants to get baptised on Friday so that is what we are planning on. He has a way sweet testimony already and I know he was one of the few and chosen. His family is way cool too but they will take a little longer. He is considered a Golden investigator. He has great desires to spread the gosple teaching his Family Friends and Neighbors. It is way fun to see, The joy is great! He will be a great leader. He has already invited a bunch of his family to his baptism and Has no regrets to say I am Mormon. We are super excited for him. Today we are going to his house to make something out of wood that we can bring home to remember him because he makes Doors and stuff out of wood.

Other than that Not much else is happening I really am enjoying my time here in Pedro Juan as a missionary for the true church Like Christopher we cant Hide What WE Believe.- and Know to be true. Love You tons Take Care. ElderCall
