4 Apr. 2011: Salado Week #1

Dear FAmily and Friends.
 
Thanks for the letters. I had a great unusual week . I dont really even know where to start. But Anyway on thursday we were having a great day until about 6 o clock and thenI got a phone call sayin that there were special changes and that I would be Leaving Mariano on saturday. Elder Humphreys and I were a bit disapointed or maybe just surprised we got along great and everything was looking so good,. We went and said good byes and took pics of our members, converts, and Best investigators. I hate saying good bye.,
 
I got Transfered to Salado which is really close to Juan de Salazar (My first area so it is fun to see as we pass in the colectivo) I Enjoyed Rembering alot about it that I forgot. Like What it is like there,. Salado is a bit closer to Limpio. I am fairly close to Elder Orton, and Saw him and Elder Eliason at Conferance, It Was fun Eliason goes home in 7 weeks.
 
My new comp is Elder Scovill From Houston Texas, He is getting around the year mark so it is possible that in a week He leaves. and goes to senor comp. he speeks well and we were basically at conferance the whole time I have been he so I dont know much about my area it seems good even though I dont think  we have many investigators,. 
 
The house has 4 elders in it 2 are suppose to move out asap but cant find a house I showed up adn it was a disaster So much garbage, I spent like And hour anda half cleaning should have taken Pics but didnt, The elders there are all young in the mission so it is sad because Elder Palmer told me this morning that I was ther first elder in his whole time in the mission that has got up on time even on Pday,. I am trying to set the example with patience, I am sure it will help them. They are great elders. , Here are some Pics from the last week. 
 
I loved conferance and listened to all except sunday morning, I know the church is true and that god speaks to  us through His holy Prophets I love you all

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
