Dear Family and Friends
 
    This week was again full of blessings and hard work. It is the last week of the change so sometimes hard to stay focused...Elder Orton has alot of time here so we will see what happens. The changes are on Thursday because Wendsday is the Virgins B-Day. I dont know if I have said much about the virgin here in paraguay but it is kind of a disaster because the catholics here worship her and think she is more important than Jesus Christ. So it is a day where normally everyone travels to Caacupe to worship a giant Idol of her. anyway enough of that.
 
     As for the blessings Edil did get baptised we had a sweet service and he has changed so much. The cool thing is he is already talking of serving a mission it would be sweet, Hes a great kid and convert to the church.
 
    Araceli is doing great she is helping he family and friends receive the restored gospel in fact her friend Vivi is going to be baptised this Friday, she has progressed so much I have never seen a investigator study the scriptures so much she has marked her book of mormon more than I have marked mine.
 
     Also Brigida and Fabiola a mom and her daughter are also preparing for Fridays baptism service. They are also choosen daughters of our Loving Heavenly Father.
 
    I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to serve here in Paraguay the Church is true!!!!

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
