7 June 2010: Aregua cerca Luque Week #10

Dear Family and Friends

Thanks for the letters this week and for all the pictures, I love seeing them. I am doing well. We had another good week but you wont believe what happen on Friday.

So on Friday we were having a normal day doing our visits. We went to a new investigator at about 3:00, but she wasnt home. Our next apointment want to much farther down the rocky road so we started walking, normally it iss just a 20 min walk with no problems but about 15 min into the walk we met two guys, or in other words two guys met us! They encountered us pulling out a pistol from the front of his pants and telling us in spanish to give him our bags. We didnt have much option but to hand over our bags with all of our scriptures, pamplets, hymn books, my grey rain jacket and my camera. They then demanded us to give them our cellphone and money. So they ended up getting our cellphone and about 10 mil guaranies or about two bucks. the two guys then with our stuff ran down this road and into the jungle. My comp and I didnt know even what to do we ran over to this house where a man was working in his yard andtold him what happened. He was suprised and said why dont youcall the police, we then said because they stole our cellphone. He was nice though and let us use his phone. The police took about 20 minutes to get there and as far as we know we will never see our stuff again. So that sucks but other than that the week was really cool.

We have some really cool investigators and should have baptisms coming up next week. Of a lady named Lourena and a girl named Anabel. So we are excited for some more baptisms. The only thing I am not excited for is replaceing everything that got stolen. My biggest or hardest to replace loss was my spanish triple I had spent so much time marking those all fancy and now I have to start over. We also have our last interveiws with President Wade tomorrow so that is crazy I will miss him he is an awesome President. But Ya I am doing well We didnt get hurt or anything so please dont worry. The Lord is with us and always protects us.

Hey mom, I will talk to you later but just so you know I will probably pull out some more money either this week or the next but that is it I am going to send the package I think this week and maybe my Sd card but I have to buy a new one too. cuz now I only have one luckily I had saved almost all my pics I love you mom.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. I learn alot from elder Roeller hes a good missionary and always positive and animating. I am greatful to finish my mission with him. We had some special changes in our zone and since Wendsday I have been with elder Roeller and Elder Patterson. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
