9 Aug. 2010: Pedro Juan Caballero Week #7

Dear Family and Friends
 
Thanks for the letters sent this week. Again I had a great week. We had our transfers on wendsday but Elder Lee and I stayed and will be together for another 6 weeks. We are doing well though so it is good. We have alot of investigators in our area and a ton that even have asistencia but it has been harder to get them in the water. We were excited to day to find out that Maura will be able to get married and baptised, so I dont know when yet but it should happen this month she is one that has been waiting to be baptised for a year now and just h=needs marriage, her husband isnt that cool though so we still have to work throough some things.             
 
There is also Gustavo that I think willget baptised the 18th. He is so ready and want to be baptised his dad is a little hard though so that why we are still waiting.
 
Alsidez and Veronica arent going to get baptised soon but they have been changing so much He quite his job because he used to sell alcohol and sold his car so he can get divorced with his  x wife, He now has new work and is coming to church and reading tons. He will be a leader in the church someday , just cant get baptised until the end of the year when the  divorce passes.
 
There is Milciano and his family that I met in a contact that seems cool they didnt go to church though so I dont know. We have been working with them.
 
Liz and Gabriel, Gabriel is a member hace mucho tiempo, but lives with liz who isnt a member, She wants to get baptised but they dont want to get married yet because Gabriel is nt very loyal but they are way cool she cooks for us somtimes and is amazing at cooking,. She also went to chuch on sunday.
 
But ya there is a little info on some of the amazing people we are teaching., We did go back to Santa Clara on satur day but just had a baptism of an 8 year old boy named Junior. It was way cool though President baptised him. There are alot others but we have to get them married. That is why there werent many young lady baptized because they move in to their boy friends house at like14 years old. It is common to have babies at 15. So we have a lot of work out there, plus we have to help them get there rama oraganized becaues right now it is a mess but we are going to stopo focusing on just baptisms and get the leader ship better They are absolutly amazing so its awesome to be with them.
 
As for Pday;
 
Last week we went and hiked the mountain that was in the picture it was way sweet we ahad a zone testimony meeting on the mountain which was something else The spirit was so close nd strong.
 
Today we jsut bplayed soccer and went shopping, it was fun but I twisted my ankel so i hurt a bit but Its not very bad.
 
I was so glad to hear that Rex got his call that is so COOL I love to hear where my friends are going to serve. The mission is the best place in the world I am also excited to hear about James call he wrote me And told me his papers are in. I love my mission.
 
I sent A couple letters home with my SD Card with a missionary on his way home so you should get it theis week.
But Hey thanks For Every thing Remember that I love You and Pray for you.

Dear Family and Friends,  I had another great week, we found some good new investigators and brought five of them inchurch,  I feel that the branch is getting better now, we had those first few weeks I was here that were full of so many problems, but I feel that they have strengthened me and the other members of the branch. The attendance is rising weekly. It has been tough for me to come here to amparo and leave all of the people from saldo and the success there but I know that the Lord sent me to Amparo for a reason. 6 June 2011: Salado Week #10

Dear Family and Friends,   I am glad to hear that everything went well with the trip to Lake Powell, it sounds like fun.haha. No I had a great week too, we are working hard and I am really enjoying my time with Elder Che. He is a hard worker and has good views on how to work effectivly. We are working most with the members. Last week we made Little sheets that have a scripture and a little note from us that is for references. We havent really recieved one yet but several of the members have invited and are planning for a time that we can go with them to visit. I am excited for it because we really need it we need more investigators. Several of the members are just great there is a Sister Medina that is like 70 years old that is one of my favorites. She has the biggest heart and is just great She broke her arm a coulple months ago so we started visiting her to help her out she also has a 8 year old grandson that is planning on getting baptised here before to long. 16 May 2011: Salado Week #7

Dear Family and Friends,         Thanks for your letters this week. I am doing good and the week passed by really quickly. It is really starting to cool down a bit here in Paraguay so that is nice. It is crazy that it will basically be cool the rest of my mission. We are really excited for Sergio and Ever. Sergio blessed the Sacrament for the first time yesterday and did great! he was also called or assigned to be like an assitant to  the Secretary of the ward So that wil be good. Ever I am sure will bless the sacrament this week to come it is awesome to see that they are getting so involved and and that they are doing so well. Ever got his sister to come which was a great sign for us his family is opening up a lot they still arent progressing really toward baptism but they will come around, His mom is really catholickind of I guess she knows alot and doest really practice any of it.
